Description
Monte Carlo forms a dense low carpet, slightly more forgiving than dwarf hairgrass. For a tight carpet it needs strong light and ideally CO2.
Care Guide
Plant small portions across the substrate and provide high light with CO2 for a compact carpet. Trim regularly to encourage horizontal spread and prevent the lower layer from rotting. Good flow keeps the carpet clean of detritus.
FAQ
Can Monte Carlo grow without CO2?
It can survive in low-tech tanks but grows leggy and slow. CO2 and high light give a dense carpet.
Why is my carpet turning yellow underneath?
The lower layer is being shaded โ trim regularly to keep it thin and healthy.
